Join NCACE’s workshop: Navigating the AI Landscape for Arts, Culture and Knowledge Exchange
The National Centre for Academic and Cultural Exchange (NCACE) is delighted to invite you to Navigating the AI Landscape for Arts, Culture and Knowledge Exchange, an interactive workshop taking place on Monday 9 November 2026 at Senate House, London.
This workshop will explore how Artificial Intelligence can support innovation, research translation and knowledge exchange across arts, culture and higher education.
As AI continues to reshape the ways organisations communicate, create, collaborate and engage audiences, the workshop will provide space to critically and creatively explore what these changes mean in practice across different professional contexts.
Combining practical exploration with collaborative discussion, the workshop will explore the possibilities, limitations and ethical questions surrounding AI, while supporting participants to develop more confident and informed approaches to using AI within their own work.
Through the session, participants will:
- Demystify AI and develop a shared understanding and language around how these systems work
- Build confidence in using AI tools and approaches within professional contexts
- Identify practical ways to strengthen innovation capacity within their own roles, organisations and networks
- Explore the ethical dimensions of AI and what responsible use looks like across different professional and organisational contexts
Facilitated by Rupert Lorraine from the University of Plymouth and Approachable AI, the day will combine interactive presentations, live demonstrations and structured group work, alongside opportunities for discussion, networking and exchange with colleagues working across the sector.
No prior AI experience is required, and materials and resources will be shared after the session to support continued learning.
