Securing Proof of Concept Funding: A coalition campaign for innovation-led growth
On Tuesday, 25 February, Knowledge Exchange UK hosted a webinar on the TenU-led campaign to secure additional Proof of Concept (POC) funding in the forthcoming Spending Review.
Working in coalition with KEUK, Russell Group, and University Alliance, TenU is advocating for increased POC funding to bridge the gap between academic research and commercial applications. This aligns with the Government’s ambition to drive economic growth through public investment in research.
During the session, we explored:
- The coalition’s efforts, including a letter to the Chancellor and senior ministers
- Initial findings from a sector-wide survey on POC funding
- How you can contribute to strengthening the evidence base for additional investment
