Business Development Manager (Maternity Cover) – Fixed-Term until June 2022
Lincoln is a university looking to the future where we serve and develop our local, national and international communities by creating purposeful knowledge & research, confident & creative graduates and a dynamic & engaged workforce. We will achieve this through a culture of enterprise and innovation.
This fixed-term position, also offered as a secondment opportunity, will play a key role in supporting our business development and commercialisation activities under our new Industrial Research Strategy. If you are interested in developing partnerships, generating impact and income from innovation activities, driving forward local productivity and growth and working collaboratively with industry and funders, this short-term opportunity will give you invaluable experience. You will be embedded in a collaborative and enthusiastic team who works in partnership with key players in the community such as the Greater Lincolnshire LEP, Midlands Engine, Midlands Enterprise Universities and others.
We are seeking to recruit a dynamic, proactive, innovative individual to this post, with a wealth of transferable skills, to help drive and build further success. This position will suit someone with a keen interest in supporting industry, SMEs and/or the transfer of expertise and ideas between Higher Education, businesses and other stakeholders. It will also be of interest to those looking to gather experience in the Net Zero and Clean Energy agenda, although previous experience in this area is not essential.
This role can be delivered by working remotely with occasional travel to our campus in Lincoln and other stakeholders’ locations. We would also consider a secondment for this vacancy.
