Lincoln is a university looking to the future where we serve and develop our local, national and international communities by creating purposeful knowledge & research, confident & creative graduates and a dynamic & engaged workforce. We will achieve this through a culture of enterprise and innovation.

Research & Enterprise is a central professional support department which works with staff, industry, external partners, students and graduates to drive:

  • A dynamic research environment
  • Increased levels of graduate employment and progression
  • Innovation & productivity levels throughout our region.
  • We use all these elements together and separately to build wide and deep external partnerships, further developing our role as an ‘active anchor institution’.

This position is focused on managing, expanding and deepening the University’s external partnerships through a broad range of mechanisms (e.g. technology transfer, contract & collaborative research, consultancy and grant funded support programmes) and particularly partnership working with organisations such as Innovate UK, Knowledge Transfer Networks, the Greater Lincolnshire LEP, Midlands Engine, Midlands Enterprise Universities and others to lever our impact.

We are seeking to recruit dynamic, proactive, innovative individual to this post, to help drive and build further success. You will have the opportunity to lead a dynamic team and work with others across the institution to build and consolidate key external relationships. This position will suit someone with a keen interest in supporting SMEs and/or the transfer of expertise and ideas between Higher Education, businesses and other stakeholders.

Due to the impact of COVID-19 this role will require the post holder to initially work remotely. We would also consider an internal secondment for this vacancy.
