Business Development Manager: University of Exeter
This part-time (0.5 FTE) post is available immediately on a permanent basis. This is one of two 0.5 FTE posts supporting business development across our International Clean Growth and Net Zero impact and partnership development portfolio.
This role offers the opportunity for hybrid working – some time on campus and some from home.
Ranked among the top 150 universities in the world, Exeter has become one of the UK’s fastest growing and fastest rising research universities. We are investing in the Directorate of Innovation, Impact and Business to drive forward our already strong relationships with business; grow our potential for significant impact; and galvanise regional and global innovation.
This post will work in a hugely exciting, dynamic, and critically important area for the University: leading and driving clean growth, net zero solutions and impact from the University’s world class interdisciplinary research. As we collectively embark on journey to net-zero, this role will lead in exponentially speeding and facilitating this transition for businesses and wider stakeholders, ensuring the adoption of innovative technical and socio-economic solutions for a just transition.
Summary of the role

The successful candidate will be interested in the latest research impacts across the economy and society, and possess excellent communication skills.
The postholder will work closely across many departments and disciplines but will have a specifically close relationship with the University’s Global System Institute (GSI).
