Intellectual Property & Licensing Administrator
Excellent research requires excellent ideas. We have some of the best researchers in the world working for us, developing ideas that make a positive impact and difference to the lives of people, the economy and the environment. Research and Innovation Services (RIS) is the central professional services office at the University of Dundee which provides integrated research funding development, commercialisation, and business engagement support to academic researchers. Working in partnership to deliver University and School strategic priorities and generate academic, economic, and societal impact.
This is an exciting time at the University of Dundee and RIS as we seek to protect and commercialise a strong pipeline of intellectual property coming from our world class academic base. We are recruiting for an exceptional individual to join us as an IP & Licensing Administrator within our IP & Commercialisation Team in RIS, to provide the vital administrative support for the University's IP and licensing portfolio.
The focus will be primarily on pro-active intellectual property and licensing administration to ensure the accuracy and security of the variable and complex data comprised in the IP portfolio, as well as ensuring delivery of all related financial transactions. The role will require considerable diligence and initiative, as well as a pro-active and professional approach, given the complexity of the data and internal and external stakeholders involved.
This role would suit a pro-active, experienced and professional administrator with excellent attention to detail. Experience in the administration of intellectual property is not required for this role as the successful candidate will be provided with training and support to deliver this important role.
