IP and Commercialisation Manager

This role within the Department of Research and Innovation focuses on developing commercial opportunities from the university’s research. The position involves identifying, evaluating, and managing early-stage IP opportunities, supporting IP protection, and aligning research outputs with commercial development plans.

You will play a crucial role in expanding the portfolio of IP opportunities originating from the university’s world-leading research across faculties. Additionally, you will be responsible for creating and leading initiatives such as workshops and talks to engage and support the academic community.

The role requires a proactive individual with a science background, experience in commercial development, and strong project management skills. Effective engagement with a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders is also key to this role. This role will help generate revenue, foster innovation, and enhance the university’s reputation by commercialising research, ultimately benefiting the academic community and society at large.
