Programme Manager: University of Bristol

The role

The University of Bristol’s Research and Enterprise Division is looking to recruit a Programme Manager to develop a university vision for a thematic area and develop and deliver a programme of work to deliver against this vision.

Programme Managers need to be flexible and willing to move across areas, however, the current area of work that programme management will be assigned to is health and life sciences, including the development of strategic value propositions in the regional deep tech innovation ecosystem.

What will you be doing?

The post holder will work closely with colleagues in RED, across the different Faculties, Research Institutes and Professional Services teams, as well as with external organisations and partners in order to develop an ambitious and multi-faceted programme which create new opportunities for the University, the region, and more widely.

Teamwork with existing activity at the University in these areas is crucial, including the academic community, as is relationship building with external partners and (very often) overcoming obstacles, solving problems and leading change.

You should apply if

You should have a relevant degree (or equivalent qualification or professional experience) and business development or funder experience, including proven experience of preparation of business plans and applications for large funding opportunities. You will be a self-starter, a good strategic thinker, and be able to respond effectively to short deadlines.
