Research Funding Manager: Sheffield Hallam University

This activity is all supported by Research and Innovation Services.

An exciting opportunity has arisen in Research and Innovation Services to support grant development, especially those that are multidisciplinary and of scale, and contributing towards achieving the University’s Creating Knowledge ambitions. You will provide horizon scanning, funder intelligence and specialist funding advice to drive research quality, capacity and grant income.

Your work will be collaborative, working alongside the Research Development Manager as a key member of the Grants Team and also working alongside the additional Research and Innovation Funding Managers to promote interdisciplinary research. You must have experience of managing a research support function and coordinating the development of large-scale strategic research grant applications. Knowledge of research issues including a thorough understanding of research grant funding and the strategies of national and international funding bodies and policy makers is also required.
