Research Funding Manager

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Research Funding Manager to join Research and Innovation Services at Teesside University.  An enthusiastic self-starter with extensive experience and expert knowledge of research bidding you will support the development of high-quality research proposals, deliver training on research funding to academic colleagues and work proactively alongside our Research Centre Leads to support the development and delivery of bidding strategies and plans. In 2019 the University opened its £22m bioscience facility the National Horizon Centre, a £12m Net Zero Industry Innovation Centre is in development (with full operation planned from mid-2022), a £2m Industrial Digitalisation Technology Centre will be launched in the New Year and the University’s campus masterplan ambition is to develop a £13m digital production centre by Sept 2022.

To support our research aspirations around engineering, industrial decarbonisation, digital, biosciences and health we would welcome applications from candidates with experience of developing proposals to funders in these disciplines.

In line with our values, Teesside University embraces diversity and welcomes applications from all members of the community. If you would like an informal discussion about the role please get in touch with Steph Bales, s.bales@tees.ac.uk.
