Senior Business & Innovation Manager: UCL Translational Research Office (TRO)
About:
The UCL Translational Research Office (TRO) Business and Innovation Group (B&IG) have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Business and Innovation Manager. The B&IG provides practical support to UCL researchers, helping to develop and manage novel and creative partnerships with industry and the biotech sector.
The successful candidate will champion efforts to support strategic planning and business growth across UCL’s Faculties of Life and Medical Sciences by developing and executing research activities, including analysing the market and competitive environment, identifying and assessing growth opportunities, as well as leading cross-functional projects in support of strategy and business development initiatives.
Responsibilities:
Working with senior personnel from academia, the Biomedical Research Centres (BRCs) and commercial partners, the individual will bring innovative approaches to identifying and defining high-value opportunities. We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual with excellent interpersonal skills to manage a diverse set of relationships.
Key Requirements:
The successful candidate will be an innovative thinker, educated to post graduate degree level or equivalent level of experience with a strong demonstrable track record within relevant Industry. Well-developed leadership, interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills are essential, as well as an eye for analytics.
