Senior Business Manager – UCL Business

UCL Business Ltd is a wholly owned subsidiary of University College London and we aim to generate income and create capital value for UCL and partner hospitals through the commercial exploitation of its extensive research base.

We are seeking to recruit a Senior Business Manager to join the Physical Science & Engineering team, who will take on the key role of initiating and maintaining effective IP commercialisation strategies for projects arising from the Departments of Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Physics & Astronomy and the London Centre for Nanotechnology.

The successful applicant will be required to work closely with academic staff in identifying wide-ranging novel technologies, support the development of these technologies, and enable the achievement of commercialisation endpoints.

Applicants will have at minimum a first degree in an Engineering related discipline and also be able to demonstrate significant and relevant technology commercialisation successes. Previous university technology transfer experience is desirable.

This is an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual, who has the   negotiation, communication and organisational skills necessary to identify and develop early stage technology commercialisation projects.
