About the role
Working within the Research and Knowledge Exchange Service, the Senior Intellectual Property (IP) & Commercialisation Officer is responsible for delivering a broad range of commercialisation activities involving Trademarks, Patents, Copyrights, and Design Rights. The primary objective is to enable researchers to convert their research into attractive opportunities for society, industry, and investors. You will manage the evaluation, protection, and commercialisation of a growing IP portfolio with full financial control, while administering all University IP legal processes and maintaining accurate management systems.
About you
You will have experience in IP and Commercialisation, including a thorough understanding of various IP rights and knowledge of patent formalities and filing administration for the UK and Europe. You are required to have excellent IT and communication skills, the ability to manage workloads and deadlines, and be able to confidentially manage commercially sensitive data.
For this role you will need an undergraduate degree in Business, Law or equivalent experiential learning or professional qualification.
