Strategic Partnership Manager and Research Lead STEM and Health: Nottingham Trent University

Job purpose: The successful development of strategic partnerships plays a key role in delivering the University’s strategy for research and external engagement and associated KPIs. Core to the role is the development of a portfolio of long-term, multi-layered partnerships that support external engagement activities. Increasingly in the STEM and Health area partnerships are connected with research, that delivers significant direct and third party funding, and resource flows for example, industry placements, events to innovate and develop impact.

The post holder will work closely with Research and Partnership Development Officers, Employability, and the Commercial Services team in Knowledge Exchange and relevant professional services to ensure a seamless and responsive relationship with clients.

Areas supported: The post holder will join the R&SPD team and assigned lead responsibility for partnerships with key disciplines, sectors and funders to ensure that workload is balanced across the team and strategic initiatives are well supported. The mix of disciplines, sectors and funders will be kept under review and adjusted as necessary, and team members will be expected to work collaboratively where initiatives cut across more than one area.
