Sharing effective practices in research commercialisation.
Fixed term contract until June 2022 with potential of extension pending further funding.

Cambridge Enterprise:
Part of the University of Cambridge, Cambridge Enterprise supports academics, researchers, staff, and students in achieving knowledge transfer and research impact. We do this by helping innovators, experts and entrepreneurs use commercial avenues to develop their ideas and expertise for the benefit of society, the economy, themselves, and the University.
TenU:
Cambridge Enterprise is a member of a collaboration of Universities working across the UK, EU, and the US, called TenU. This group of Research Commercialisation experts work together and with UK and US governments, to debate and develop best practice, and to provide longer term insights that can be used to inform policy and develop effective practices across the ten universities and the sector. TenU is funded by Research England.
Cambridge Enterprise is hosting the TenU project team, currently made up of one Policy Advisor, and is now recruiting for a second member of the team: the TenU Events and Communications Coordinator.
The role:
This role has been created to support the Policy Advisor in delivering three programmes and related communication strategies: the TenU Hosts series (a series of events offering leading practitioners the opportunity to hold topical conversations in research commercialisation); the TenU Future Leaders Programme (an international exchange programme to train future leaders); and the dissemination of latest developments on changing focus areas.
This role will lead the event management for the programmes, to include the planning and delivery of 4-5 remote events per year, including scheduling, arranging logistics, technical setup and facilitating the delivery. Events are currently taking place online so confidence in digital events is a must, with the expectation of planning in-person meetings in the future.
The communications aspect of the role will include promotion via social media, maintaining a website, and the planning and delivery of marketing campaigns with support from the Policy Advisor.

Benefits:
You will have on-the-job mentoring by an experienced colleague and will be working alongside some of the best commercialisation professionals in the world. Working for a subsidiary of the University of Cambridge, you will be offered a competitive salary with performance-related pay, generous holiday, a University pension and flexible hybrid working.
